We're swooning over this minimalist Scandinavian living room, and we suspect you are too!
In our 'create the look' blog posts we aim to source the key items in each look, so you can quite literally create the look yourself...
Furniture
Starting with the key pieces in this room, the furniture - opt for pieces that have a similar neutral colour to one another. You want to be creating that depth required by mixing different fabric textures. This will avoid your room feeling like a bag of old crisps - stale! The boucle chair for £99 from Dunelm pairs perfectly with this low cream sofa from Dusk.
The coffee table from the inspo image is out of this world, but the price tag will bring you back down to earth! Stone coffee tables are expensive (unless you get lucky on FB Marketplace), so go faux, the next best thing. This Wayfair option below would be great for your Scandi Living Room, for the look, and price tag.
Probably the closest item sourced, to the inspo look, is this Ikea side board. It could even be the same thing and for £350, we'll take that.
The key here is to play with different textures and materials, but keeping it natural just like the colour palette. Use stone and wood materials in your furniture options to get the consistent Scandi look.
Lighting
Lighting instantly elevates any space, if done right (check our blog here to learn all about lighting). You can see that there are three different sources of light in just this space alone, mixing ambient, task and accent lighting. The main overhead light offers diffused lighting, avoiding any harsh glare. This one from Hombe is pretty darn close to the inspo image - perfect for you to recreate this space!

Soft Furnishings
More neutral colours are gracing the space through cushions and the rug, mixing textures and patterns. This space feels warm and inviting - the fluffy rug under your feet and cuddly cushions definitely help with that cosy feeling.
Art

Art is so subjective, so you can really choose what you want here. All we'd say is that abstract designs will suit the Scandi space best - think lines, natural colours and real scenes. If you want the actual piece of art in the inspiration image, it's by artist Sofia Lind. However, if you're looking for similar art for a fraction of the price, Desenio is the place to be!
Accessories
The final piece of the puzzle are the accessories which add that pizzaz into your space. Sticking to the theme throughout the scheme - natural colours, organic shapes and materials - bring in vases, mirrors, books and candles for the ultimate Scandi feel.
tml top tip - you can find decorative books in charity shops for much cheaper, so try there before you buy new!
